Michigan=depressing. My mom and stepdad are looking to move again...their 3rd or 4th move in 5 years. The ceiling is falling apart, and they can't afford it, so they are looking for apartments. Although my brother told me a different story and said that they were looking at some dump in Flint...which doesn't make sense to me, because why would they buy a dump if they can't afford to pay for the place they're in now. My stepdad works as a security guard for Chrysler...enough said. My brother is not sure if he can afford his place much longer...and meanwhile, my grandma is spending her inheritance money with my dad, going out to eat constantly and buying lotto tickets. ughhhhh
But...looks like my high school reunion is August 15. Although our class president is a fucking idiot and doesn't know how to use facebook, she left the date as a comment on the page in response to someone else. So I am thinking the 14th through the 23rd....
bemydestruction hopefully I can spend the night on the 21st or 22nd? That's a Friday or a Saturday. I think I would swing by on my way back.
Work has been UGHHHHHHH. Not as bad as St. Michaels, but stressful nonetheless. It comes with the field I work in, though, so I should get used to this. I've been frustrated and dealing with disagreements and conflicts and stress again. SOOO glad it's almost Friday.
Speaking of Friday, tomorrow is the birthday of djdiabla and we are all going out for Japanese food!!! Yummm!!! I have been looking forward to this. I also have an eye dr. appointment tomorrow, and am excited about getting new glasses. My current pair are 7 years old and bent from being sat on too much (ooopsss). I think my eyes have gotten a little worse, especially since I use computers so much at work and during my free time. In fact, I think I've cut down on my home computer time.
I've been worrying about money. I continue to search for some kind of part-time job...and may have to resort to retail again. I worked retail for 10 years and I fucking hate it. I don't want to work somewhere that will be tempting to buy stuff (ahem, Best Buy and Express) and I don't want to be pushing stupid credit cards.
As far as the rest of my weekend, the only other plans I have is Saturday morning breakfast and reunion with my St. Mikes coworkers. I also plan to do some more serious artmaking.
