I got seven hours in at work today. :) It wasn't *too* cold in the morning, so I didn't take the heaters out of the car. The HVAC guy came and the heat was fixed by one.
One lady brought her vacuum in for a tune up and asked for help. She'd been unable to remove the bag from the cloth bag because it was, she said *very* full. I showed her how bags normally go in and out she she could change them easily once it had been tuned up. She'd actually detattached the cloth bag cover that the disposable bag goes in. After she left I went to pick it up. Whoa.
She wasn't kidding about it being full. It must have weighed fifteen *pounds*. Holy cow. I couldn't get the bag out of the cloth housing in one piece- after trying for several minutes to coax it out, I threw in the towel, took a plastic garbage bag and the vacuum bag outside, put it inside the garbage bag, ripped the paper dustbag into pieces, and took it and the contents out handful by handful. That was the *only* way it was going to come out. I haven't serviced the unit yet to see if the weight of the bag damaged anything. I'm amazed the motor didn't blow. Be nice to your vacuuum cleaners folks. Change the bags early and often, (or empty the dirt cup/container if it's a bagless model).
Then I went to B&N and bought two books for a class I'm going to take at
BNU, which starts Monday.
Virtual University spring registration will also open then. Classes at VU begin 3/27. (Note: the classes offered for a given term usually don't get updated until registration opens. If you look before then, it'll give you an idea of the offerings, but they are probably the courses that were offered for the term that just *ended*.)
