Well, things seem to be getting better for me. A lot better, really, though I admit the latest drama at school kind of took my steam for a lot of things, including the internet. I kind of want to hole myself up for awhile with my PSP and Star Ocean, but I don't think that's really all that healthy. 8D;; I appreciate all the encouragement people gave, though. I just randomly stumbled across the song on YouTube during spring break, and I've been listening to it a whole bunch since then. I'd really like an MP3 of it (or, hell, I'd totally buy a Cake album, since I seem to like a lot of their music as it is. I bought a few of their songs on iTunes back in the States, but yeah.) I can't really put my finger on why I like it, except I know it's a song I'd probably, like, drive really fast to if I were listening to it in my car.

lol, everyone and their mom knows this song, right? Well, the version I've got on my computer is an (admittedly Engrish-y) cover performed by the J-rock band Nil. I enjoy listening to it a lot, though. It's a lot of fun. xD
3. Brendan Benson, "Alternative to Love"
Maybe I'm just damaged goods

And, me, I'm just a little lost lamb,

This wasn't how I planned it
Geez, I kind of feel like, "When I was I ever NOT into this song?" I first heard it a year and a half ago on (surprise) YouTube, and I just sort of never stopped listening to it. Like, ever. Whenever I'm in the car, I'll blare it really loud AT LEAST TWICE, and I tend to listen to it at least once when I'm commuting to school everyday. I'm honestly amazed I haven't gotten sick of it yet, BUT OH WELL. Incidentally, I've recently looked up some of Brendan Benson's other songs on YouTube, and I wouldn't mind buying one of his albums. His songs are catchy, and I think his lyrics are really interesting.
4. Asunaro, "Heart" No file, but BUT HERE'S A LINK TO THE MUSIC VIDEO ON YOUTUBE? 8D.
No lyrics here, sorry. :*( Can't find any on the Internet, and I don't trust my ability to transcribe it.
Basically, it's the theme song for the Star Ocean 1 remake, First Departure. I LOVE IT THOUGH. I can only understand some of the lyrics, but I really like the tune and the beat, and I guess it helps that I love the opening sequence they made with it for the game. I just wish I had it on my comptuer, BAWWW. I guess I ought to order the First Departure soundtrack, or tool around a music store until I find it. I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY EXCUSES. ;; I admit I was disappointed when they released Second Evolution's theme song, because I feel like it isn't as awesome as this one. 8D;; baw, listening to it again makes me want to replay SO1.
5. Gladiator, Now We Are Free.
Kat sent this to me ages ago. I'm guessing it's supposed to be some sort of remix from the Gladiator soundtrack? At any rate, I'm a sucker for remixes and things, and the song itself is pretty epic-sounding. And yeah, that's all I've really got to say here.
6. Dragonforce, "Fury of the Storm"
Into the fires of forever we will fly through the heavens
With the power of the universe we stand strong together
Through the forcing of power, we will soon reach the hour
For victory we ride, Fury of the Storm!
THIS SONG IS EPIC OKAY. I like a lot of epic music in my life. Except when I'm, like, eating breakfast, then things get just a little too epic for me if I've got a lot of crazy music playing in the background. But, yeah, a good song for listening to when I'm commuting to and from school, and it makes me feel like I CAN KICK ASS. >8(
7. The Delgados, "The Light Before We Land"
And when I feel like I can feel once again

Soak it in awhile

I think this song was used in Gunslinger Girl? I've never seen it, but I think it's a gorgeous song just the same. I probably listened to it more when I first moved to Japan, but I still really enjoy listening to it when it comes up on my playlist.
