Charlie: Claire, here's your journal. Might help. And this is where you sleep. It's quite cozy, isn't it? ... When he, Ethan. When he took you away, he took me too. The others came after us. They got me back but you ... You were gone.
Claire: Who is he? Ethan?
Charlie: ... Ethan ... Ethan's the bad guy.
Claire: So, we were together when? ...
Charlie: Yeah.
Claire: And why did he leave you?
Charlie: Why don't we leave that lovely story for the morning? You've had enough for one night.
Claire: Oh, I won't be sleeping.
Charlie: Oh? Lucky for me. Not much of a sleeper myself. Finally, I'll have someone to stay up with.
Claire: ... We're friends?
Charlie: ... Yeah. ... Yeah, we're friends.
Claire: Why? Why did you lie to me? What else didn't you tell me?
Charlie: I just thought, with your memory, there wasn't anything you could do.
Claire: Nothing I could do? Why would you keep me in the dark, Charlie? I'm already in the dark.
Charlie: Sorry. I just wanted to take care of you.
Claire: I can take care of myself.
Claire: I remember peanut butter. Why do I remember peanut butter?
Charlie: ... It was imaginary peanut butter, actually.
Claire: I don't know what happened to me. ... I'm scared. ... I want to trust you. ... Goodnight, Charlie.

Claire: Very pregnant. I had some dreams last night. Actually, more like memories. You were in them.
Charlie: Sorry.
Claire: Thought I'd see if you wanted to go for a walk?

Sun: In a hospital, they would have you sleep. The nurses would take your baby.
Claire: Yeah, but I'm not in a hospital.
Charlie: Well, all the more reasons to take extra care, Claire. Look, it's okay. I can take care of Turnip-Head for a while.
Claire: Turnip-Head?
Charlie: It's just what I'm calling him. 'Til you give him a name, 'cause his head look like a turnip.
Claire: What if he needs something, okay?
Charlie: You'll be there for him, after you sleep.
Claire: No, okay? No.
Charlie: Claire, no one is gonna take this baby away from you. No one, Claire.
Claire: You don't know that, okay? You can't say that.
Charlie: I won't let it happen.
Claire: ... Just be really careful, okay? Make sure if he gets hot that you take his blanket off. His neck. Okay? Around his neck.

Claire: Okay, can you stop moving or I'm gonna cut your ear off!
Charlie: Ah, this is good. I'm writing again. I'm really feeling it as well. So what's the first thing you're gonna do when we get rescued?
Claire: You know? I don't really know.
Charlie: You can hang out with me in LA. You and Turnip-Head. You know, until you figure things out.
Claire: Thanks.

Charlie: Okay. I know we're in a rush to escape to the caves, so I've solved the Turnip-Head transport issue. This is, uh, just a blanket from the plane. And then, this piece of wood here that goes through this bamboo. Here you go. It's a Björn.
Claire: A Björn?
Charlie: Björn. It's Dutch for, uh, baby carrier.
Claire: Yeah. Thanks.
Charlie: Well, that's okay.
Claire: Thank you. Thanks.
Charlie: Oh, that's okay.
Claire: Let's put him in there.
Claire: I'm coming with you.
Sayid: That's not a good idea, Claire.
Claire: This is my baby, okay? I let her take him.

Claire: [sobbing] I am coming with you! This is my fault and I'm coming and you can't stop me!
