today was fucking awesome! *__*
As you probably all know "Animagic" is an annual anime/manga/cosplay/japanese popculture convention here in good ol' Bonn (usually from Friday til Sunday).
It's one of the internationally more famous "cons" actually and often you can meet lots of folks from France, England, Poland and so on.
Sadly, I couldn't attend last year so I was really hyped for this year's con and although my cosplay was far from perfect (not anymore MWAHHAHAHA) I was superhappy to go on Friday.
Together with pinku we dressed up as lolitas:
pinku went with a "country lolita" style (she wore a very cute pink basket that matched her entire outfit very well and her tiny hat is just soooooooooo cute!!!!)
I just put on my good old pink dress and made something like "sweet lolita". I didn't put much work into it this time because I focussed on my Monster-High cosplay. But still have a photo:
Aren't we just cute little dollies, mwah.
Anyway, we started our tour at around 14 o'clock and it was the usual array of bright colours, frilly dresses and "OMG DID YOU SEE HIM HE IS DOING [...] FROM [...]!!!" I was just sad that there were some awesome cosplays whom I just couldn't recognise because I don't know the series/manga he or she has her origins in. ;_; It didn't stop me from taking lots of pictures though ;D
There was of course lots of Alice stuff from the Tim Burton movies there. She had a marvellous dress, really <3
I really felt sorry for those three guys because they attempted to sit down and eat something for about five times but were always hampered by some people who wanted to take photos. ;D But seriously they were awesome. <3
Dastan and Captain Jack Sparrow. He was really cute and funny. He promised me a photo but then he ran away and when I called after him he apologized and batted his eyelashes very... Jack-like, I don't know he was very in character and such a sweetheart (maybe I should have slapped him... xD).
SOOOOOOOOO CUTE! AND THEIR FEET WERE HAIRY TOO! ;D
Just something for my little fangirl heart. <3
Professor Layton and Luke who I almost scared to death because I was just a tiny little bit TOO LOUD ASKING POLITELY FOR A PHOTOGRAPH THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!
Bobby, Cas and the one angel-girl Dean screwed around with ( I forgot her name because Dean belongs to Cas damn it! ;D)
Due to new restrictions around the actual con-area we also spent some time down at the Rhine where lots of bigger groups assembled. One group (devoted to Sailor Moon) consisted of about thirty members and there were some really beautiful cosplays to stare at. ;D
There was also a wonderful Ezio running around with some Schweizer Garde but we never managed to get a photo ;_; Well tomorrow maybe!
Oh and I saw a Merlin and Arthur cosplay! *__* Tomorrow there will be pictures (hopefully).
We also went to the Opening Ceremony which was very funny because all of the Japanese guests (manga-ka and anime producers and stuff like that) were soooo polite and all seven of them mentioned how delicious the German beer was. Awww <333
After that we stayed to watch the new Ghibli-Film
"Karigurashi no Arriety" (Arriety the Borrower) (sadly in German) and although it had an awesome soundtrack, beautiful character designs and was not as depressing as Ghibli normally is (seriously people!), it had some remarkably lackings in story telling which went like this:
Arriety: Hello!
Shou (the boy): Oh you are so beautiful and I am really curious about your people oh and by the way I have a weak hart and will problably die by tomorrow, see ya!
O.o But it was nonetheless a nice, funny, cute and very calm movie and I enjoyed the heck out of it because it was great fun to sit with lots of people in a room and laugh at the right moments, applaud at the right moments and... yeah it was cool. <3
Oh and btw I found a wig! *____* An awesome long enough perfectly coloured wig! So although my trousers and tops look horrible I WILL AT LEAST HAVE GREAT HAIR!
BE PREPARED TOMORROW BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE TO HANDLE ALL MY AWESOME! ;DDDDD
Oh and I fell in love:
With this little guyIsul doll Apollo.
He (yeah it's a boy) costs a ridiculous amount of money but I am halfwilling to spend it because:
- steampunk
- limited edition
- cute blond boy with green eyes
- I have money! *throws it around*
The guy working at the booth was very cute too: when he saw pinku and me staring at some of the dolls he grabbed one that was dressed as a sweet lolita and just held it out for us to swoon over it (it worked. Oh my did it work. <3)
We'll see.
Good night lovely people I just hope you had as much fun reading this as I had typing it!
