*A second opinion...

NO, I do not have an abusive boyfriend...I don't even have a boyfriend.
NO, I did not spend an extensive weekend learning how to play the trumpet.

HOW IT HAPPENS...at least how it happened for me:
A feeling in the pit of your stomach. Something about the situation isn't right.
You think through other options. Still though, you step in, placing your life in the hands of another.
You feel tired and stressed and know you should just relax.
You slip back in your seat and try to release your intense sense of worry.
Somehow, everything begins jerking right and left and you feel everything lift off the ground.

It happens so fast that you know not what to do than to pull your knees into your stomach and brace yourself for the impact which is reality.

You wait for it to end before you open your eyes for the devastating truth.
You come to, only to see no one around. You weren't alone when you closed your eyes and now you can't find anyone. Your mind is racing so fast that you can only hear the sounds of your own breath and heartbeat that painfully remind you you're alive. You rush to find those you were with, but a pressure is pulling you so tight that you can't seem to break loose. Determined though, you come undone and crawl through the shattered remains. You feel the drips down your face and all over your shirt, but it's not about you.
The others...where are they?

You find your loved ones lying far from you and you feel the a saturation in your eyes and chunks rising in your throat.
You do all you can for the time being and hope that help comes soon.

The hardest part to grasp is the actuality of it all.
The fact that it's not just a story to be told but a picture show playing over and over in my mind.

I must say though...the idea of the light and the tunnel is a ridiculous and very untrue one.
All well...what is truth?

As of now, I will remain thankful for life. Not my own, but that of another.
My beautiful cousin, Crystal. Only 18 and such a good life ahead of her.
May it serve as a learning experience.
As much as it can be used.
May it not haunt, but help through the journey of life.
