Family Babble... the past week or so and tomorrow...
Last weekend on Saterday we took the kids to an event put on by the ymca and the Anaheim Achieves program, it was in a park downtown. all the schoos that havethe Achievs program had boths with games and giveaways for the kids. they both came home with a big bag of freebies. stickers, penciles, small toys, notepads, pictures etc... It was fun and free. I sunburned my shoulder and chest. This annoyed me, since I managed to get all the way through fair without getting burned.
Sunday we got to go to Disnyland to preview the new ride in Calif. Adventure. I had the 4 tickets they gave me and used my blue employee pass to get in on of my daughter's frinds, we invited to join us. We had a great day, tried not to spend too much money one food and stuff, but even with my discount it was a lot. We started early, and ran out of steem before the fireworks at 9:25. The new ride is fun, though I don't think it's worth a 2 hour wait. Wait untill the newness wares off and then go if you must.
There are a lot of things I'd like to tomorrow. Few of witch I will probably get to do.
Since I have to be at work at 5:30pm it puts a crimp on the big things. Like: Knitting in public Day. The big local fiber groups are having a picknic in the park not to far from here. I'd enjoy it but the family would be bord and have better things to do than make a picknic.
There is also a big Birtday party for the McColin peopoe. While my BD is Tusday, it's not going to be a 'bring your kids' kind of party, and will be going on most of the night, and I'll be at work anyway.
My daughter has a BD party for a friend to attend, though she hasn't given me the time yet. and i don't have a gift. though it's the friend we took to Disnyland so I think I'll coun't that as having already given her one. (though I'll go look for something inexpensive for her to unrap)
Hubby knows what he want's for Father's day, and I know what I wnat for my BD, my Daughter needs a pretty dress for her 'Promotion' ceramoney from 6th grade to 7th. So I think some shopping will be in order.
I spent 3 hours watching tv and ripping,cutting and glueing in my alteredbook/gluebook yeserday. Finished out all the pages and had a ripping good time. I havent' gotten to work on it for several months now and I realy missed it. Now I need to find/make another book to past in.
I got most of the laundry done, and had the disshes undercontrol untill last night... got ta do the ***** dishes again before I go do something this afternoon. I'm thinking of going to the park (where I work) and getting the costumes I'll need for the nest week. I't will save some time latter and I can take some time to play there a bit too. I'd like to buy a few things, but after last weekends splurge, I think I'll wait a little longer. They have me working on the Disny side (I've been in DCA side since I started) at the Emporiem next Wed. from 8pm to 2:30am! I'm pissed. If they start making a habit of the very late hours, this job might be history. even if it is only 3 day a week. (DCA closes at 10pm latest and Disnyland closes at 12 or latter during the summer)
I put the money down to sent the kids away to YMCA camp for a week in July! Now all I have to do is finish filling out all the paper work and get them a phycical. (better call and get them appt soon) They will love it. And the day after they come back we go to SanDiago for Comic Con! yah.
I have more books and stories to read than I have time for, as well as 3 more short stoires to write before the end of June.
