Barf
I have nothing to do which is pure torture on a Friday. I'm sitting here staring blankly, attempting to not to get caught surfing the internet, trying to avoid anything that resembles work and resisting the urge to eat a mint fudge cookie. Yesterday it was Ghiradelli chocolates. I have this empty candy jar on my desk that is a blessing and a curse. When I first initiated the candy jar it was a nice way to meet people in a new office and avoid work for a few seconds. Now it is just a curse. I can't keep it full...once full at 8:30 in the morning...then completely empty by 4:30. And they definitely don't pay me enough to supply $10 worth of candy in this jar each week...sometimes more than that. I guess it depends on hunger levels.
I'm so bored. And I know my boss will be back in mere hours leaving me with the impossible task of looking busy when I really have nothing to do. I don't mind if he's not here...I'll just do some wedding planning or surf around on the internet for nothing. But then again its making me nervous now a days since they've started this new computer policy. Really all that is stated is that we aren't allowed to download music or movie from the internet...there was nothing said about surfing. But I'm sure they are monitoring it closely. We've been having a lot of issues with hackers. And our systems were down for a good number of days. Its amazing to see how much work is reliant on computers.
Anyway...I really don't have anything to say. And in lieu of eating a cookie I think I will have some ceral for breakfast. So I'll try to do a better job with the updating...
