Jumping on the bandwagon

Okay, I know I am seriously going to regret this but....

ARGHHHHH!

I don't mind people sharing their experience about Asylum GOOD OR BAD.   What was wrong with it- what was right with it- Those experiences are fine but one thing that keeps going around which is really annoying me is that the staff of Asylum disrespected the guests.

NOT TRUE.  (What I ( Read more... )

I have heard that Jason was left sitting in a room for a couple of hours when someone forgot they were supposed to get him for his photo ops or autographs. And apparently Richard and some other guests were left stranded at their hotel for 30 minutes when they were supposed to be picked up for the con one morning.

I wasn't there though and just picked these stories up from con reports, but I can see the guests being unhappy about that-- it makes them look bad too when it's not even their fault.

Is there any point in replying - I'm unsure if you will check it or not- and I actually assume you're probably on my flist- because to be honest- I'm so boring, not a lot of people actually READ my lj! Lol :)

Jason often went missing- it's a big place and I admit that some of the staff (myself included) perhaps should have had communication devices to enable that all communication with each other was on the same note. I doubt anyone was left 'stranded' but 30 minutes can probably be blamed on traffic or the guests themselves delaying matters- which happens- we're all human.

You didn't have to go annoymous- i seriously wouldn't have flamed you for your opinion- i am not a wank starter- I honestly wanted to know peoples views on this and I'm sorry you felt that you had to hide who you are- if you are on my flist- fear not flistie! I don't hold anything to you- just because I worked the con- doesn't mean I was blind to the things that happened there.

But here you are putting it back on the guests and blaming them-- "Jason went missing" and "the guests themselves delaying matters", as if it's not the con's responsibility at all.

It's also entirely possible that it is the con staff's fault, since it seems to have happened more than once and you yourself admit that communication was lacking. As a matter of fact, I'm more likely to put it on the staff since it seems to have happened to several guests several times. *shrugs*

I don't want to argue with you, but it does seem like you're defending them and reflecting all the problems back onto the guests.

Oh God no, that was not my intention- I completely agree with you that a lot of what happened could have definitely been avoided! But you can't escape that sometimes, someeeeetimes things happen that can frustrate a situation BECAUSE of guests- but I did not mean that it was there fault! If we had better communication and perhaps a smaller amount of attendees then I agree- thing would have run more smoothly ( ... )

No worries. I'm not on your flist. No LJ for me. My name's Kelly. I was just reading someone's friends' list and came across this entry. And I'm not angry. Like I said, I wasn't there, and none of this is directed personally at you ( ... )

Oh Gosh, that IS terrible. I would hate that someone would get a bad impression of him. I've met and worked with Jason before and his wife is soooo lovely :) I've PA-ed at other events and actually a private one too and that.... was such a nightmare because the client was a well known Hollywood American actor and... I can safely say that he was not a pleasant guy to work with (then- apparently he's okay now ( ... )

P.S.

Actually the only thing really kind of upsetting me here is that you could be a really good friend on my flist- and I really don't want to fall out with anyone on my flist because I love my flist. I really hope this doesn't jeopardize any friendship! :) I really do value ppls opinions and you know, you're clearly expressing yours... so please , be patient when I try and explain mine- because sometimes I fail the first attempt! :) lol
