well, as someone tangentaly in the industry of insurance, "screwing" someone out of coverage is how you stay solvent. If you granted every request for coverage, you would quickly exceed your funding. Those claims must be denied to ensure there are enough funds to insure everyone else. ;)

I'm not a large fan of Moore myself, but he does make an important point in his movie that many people in this country are far too ready to ignore.

I realize that passion and politics can't always be separated--and it's good that people hold beliefs very strongly. But I think that in order to have a real productive dialogue, that kind of grandstanding and yelling has to be put aside so that reason, logic, and facts can emerge. I understand that Moore felt attacked, but he can't have been surprised, as he got the same treatment three years ago (and I'm guessing from more than one interviewer). So, I would have appreciated--and been more receptive to--a Moore who let his facts speak for themselves (he does a great job using his Web site for this) rather than climbing up on the cross and complaining about the nails.

(for those of you too lazy (or warry) to click the link, Mitt Romney and Hilary Clinton have way more money contributed to them by the medical industry than anyone else. When is Moore going to do a film about the abuses of the teachers' union? :)
