The One in Which Jez is a Total G(l)eek
Two topics today--both of them musically related!
1) Glee. Omg you guys, tonight was the end of the first season and there was so much going on! No spoilers, but it was great. And the songs were fantastic, especially the last song. And awwwww Puck. And I swear I could hear Gaby's screams of "baby!" from here.
Speaking of, Gaby, Hilary, where were you two? Gabs, you were online but nonresponsive.
BUT! Korianne was back this week and didn't have class and wasn't in NYC so I got my GleeFF back, which made me happy. Watching a show like this is always so much better when you have somebody to fan with. Even if all we're doing is saying OMG or LSHFLDFD (that's Kori) or "Hahaha, look how many steps she has to stand on to be the same height as him!" (that's me, obvs).
I predicted pretty much all of the big things that happened & I was fairly happy with the way things turned out. One thing could have been a bit better, but I'm still happy with it. This was a great season.
And dammit, Colfer, why you gotta be so talented? Your voice makes me want to cry.
2) Wrock! Today--about 5 minutes before Glee (I almost missed it!)--I was on YouTube and saw Lauren Fairweather's new video (with Matt of the Whomping Willows, to whom she is engaged) about her tour and guess what, she's coming to Chicago! Uh...Sunday! So very soon. I immediately twittered Chris (because I type ten times faster than I text) if she was working and she's not, so we're going! Hurray!
We definitely plan on dressing up in some way. I think she's going as a wizard and I'm going to try to throw together a Hufflepuff outfit. I don't have any pleated skirts or anything, but my mom has a really cute gray dress that I'm going to throw a white collared shirt over. I just need to find a tie! Hopefully Chris & I can work out something with that tomorrow or later this week.
