Wednesday and Jenny is tired (and boring, sorry)!

My home town!

Since I haven't gone to university yet, I'll talk about the town I've lived in since I was four (ish, I'm not entirely sure). It's quite small, and I don't really like it much since it's an hours bus journey away from school and an even longer journey away from most of my friends. The one good thing is there's the ruins of a castle, which I loved running around when I was little, plus because we live here we get in free to the castle. It's mostly tourist orientated, but it's still a nice place to have a walk around.

I'll also talk about the town I go to school at, which is Stratford - Upon - Avon, ie. Shakespeare's town and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company. At the moment they're rebuilding their main theatre, but I still love going to see plays. The favourite Shakespeare I've been to see was "Henry V", where the French court was played by people hanging from trapizes, and for the Battle of Agincourt they used ribons to represent arrows. I also got to see David Tennant in Hamlet. The school I go to, which is the girl's grammar school, is rumoured to be where Shakespeare proposed to Anne Hathaway, although that is just a rumour...

I really have nothing of any interest to say today! The best thing that happened was that this Latin Reading Competition got postponed although one of the boys doing it described it as "It's sort of like finding out they're postponing an execution; you're happy for the extra time you have, but that time is still overshadowed by impending doom." which is pretty much correct.

I'm looking forward to seeing Lia's punnishment! :D

Comment Questions!
1. How was your day?
2. Like plays? (At the moment I'm studying "Broken Glass" by Arthur Miller.)
3. What's your view on Shakespeare? (I'm not going to get to study Shakespeare again till next year!) Any other fans of the Romeo+Juliet film?
