29th April and Jenny's book finally arrived!

Finally the book I ordered from America arrived! It's “The Realm of Possibility” by David Levithan, I'm about 2/3 of the way through. The reason I got it, which is quite an effort since there's so little YA fiction over here, is because it's written in blank verse. It's split into five parts, each of which are split into four characters and each character has a poem or a set of poems. The greatest advantage I found to verse is line length really helps to show the difference between the characters.

There are so many albums coming out that I want at the moment, I'm so excited. Firstly Lauren Fairweather's new solo album which I can't decide whether I should buy off itunes or order the album from America. Tom Milsom's new album will be out soon, since he just finished it yesterday. Plus another band which I can't think of.

It was quite amusing today my friend was writing a piece on Harry Potter vs Twilight for the school magazine, because it's a long running debate in her form as to which is better, and she went around asking people for “sound bites” to put in the article. My quote for Twilight was “I feel sorry for the poor having to live up to Edward Cullen” and for Harry Potter was “Harry Potter promotes Latin! FTW!”, which shows how seriously we were taking it!

I found some really cool buttons the other day in HMV they're video game themed ones, there's pacman, space invaders, tetris and one which says “game over”. I'm slightly obsessed with buttons I think, I love collecting things like that. I used to collect badges ages ago, but managed to lose my collection, my badge collection was never as big as my brother's keyings though!

1. Have you heard of any other books in verse form? I read “Heartbeat” by Sharon Creech when I was younger, which was really good.
2a. Any long going debates that you've been part of amongst your friends?
2b. Zombies vs unicorns?
2c. Ninjas vs pirates?
3. Do you/did you collect anything interesting?
