The One in Which Jez Discusses Her Fictional Crushes
So, looks like we're rescheduling art week to 2 weeks from now in favor of Top 10 Fictional Characters Week.
It's TMI Tuesday on tumblr and today an anon asked me which three fellow tumblr users I would sleep with and that got me thinking, which 10 fictional characters would I date? So, here's that.
The Top 10 Fictional Characters Jez Would Date (in no particular order)
+ Spencer Martin from Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson. From the very first words he spoke, I was in love.
+ Calvin O'Keefe from Madeleine L'Engle's Time Quintet. "You've got dreamboat eyes" may be a really cheesy pickup line, but damn if I wouldn't fall for it.
+ Ôtani from Love*Com. Boy makes me swoon, haha. And if he puts up with Risa, he can sure as hell put up with my crazy.
+ Lloyd Dobler! To know Lloyd Dobler is to love him. I want to know Lloyd Dobler.
+ Lincoln Clinton Carter Kennedy. SHUT UP. I'm not saying I would date him at 11, I'd wait til he was at least 18. He'd be the hottest, smartest, best knot-tying guy EVER.
+ Crim from Sinfest. I am more in love with this guy than probably any others on here, at least at the moment. He's bookish & shy, but he really comes out of his shell after falling in love with Fuchsia. And get this, he goes into Hell, not to save her, but just to BE WITH HER. <3 My heart, it is swelling just at the thought of him. (I obviously need psychological help)
+ Logan Echolls. :D :D :D He can be a jerk, but he's really sweet and protective when it comes to Veronica. I want a guy to treat me like that!
+ Dr. Mark Sloan. This man is the epitome of sexy. But once he gets with someone he truly cares about he's also really sweet and stops his manwhoring.
+ The Ninth Doctor. He's so freaking adorable, but also really, really, unbelievably smart. And yes, I picked him over Ten & Eleven.
+ Jonathan Guyer. None of you probably even know who this is, but he is the best character from the Mandie series. I don't even care that he's rich; he's funny, thoughtful, sweet, and adventurous. He is probably a good model for my perfect guy. Except, y'know, not 14.
+ Jamie Madrox. Any form, whether it be comic, cartoon, or movie (hey, it's Eric Dane again!), I am all. over. that. This man, seriously.
So...yeah, I deviated from the Top 10 Fictional Characters and put a different spin on it. And now you all know what a pedo I can be, haha. To balance it out, I will say I have a slight thing for Rupert Giles as well. I also focused on the guys only, but I think this has to do with the way guys and girls are depicted in shows. Like, on Veronica Mars, you are not meant to fall in love with Veronica (though you do), you are meant to fall for Logan (Or Duncan, but who would fall for Duncan?). It's hard to explain when you're kind of CRaKCed out as I am, but yeah, there is a thing.
