(no subject)
Apologize for the lateness of this blog, I stupidly told my boss it would be no problem to stay later without realizing that i hadn't post this yet. >< Sorry.
So Today is the second day of Lent. Now for those of you not of the Catholic religious persuasion, this means I have to either give something up or do something special for the next 40 days. YAY!
My first idea was to write something new everyday. My reaction to that though was something similar to the last panel of this comic.
I’m going to attempt it anyway. Starting today that is. Well I did write yesterday but it was well devolved enough to count.
I watch MirrorMask the other night. It was one of the most visually stunning movies I've seen in a long while. Although seeing it just after Coraline did have me wondering if all of Neil Gaiman's stories start with a young girl fighting with her mother. I absolutely loved the dream world that Helena finds herself in. Every one wears masks,except for the animals which have human faces. It adds a sense of distortion to the whole thing.
That's one of the main charters,Valentine. I love him dearly. Something about him just seemed very familiar. Though I suppose t least part of that is because he has a rather archetypal character. He's quick witted and somewhat cowardly and, you guys should all watch this movie kay?
I also went to the comic book store the other day. I got my two very first comic books!The first is an issue of The Tick that I'm terribly excited about. It features the Chainsaw Vigilante,another charter I love dearly. He's not really good or bad. But he hates superheros. He doesn't like the fact that they think a fancy pair of spandex means they can take the law into their own hands. Mostly he just waves his chainsaw around until the superhero gets freaked out and runs away. i also got a TMNT comic It's all about Donatello <3. Apparently sometime in May there is going to be a comic sale. The guy said last time he found Tick comics for a quarter a piece. AWESOMESAUCE! The guy was really nice and we ended up talking about Serenity and Wolverine Origins,wich looks awesome btw( mainly cause it will have Gambit. YAY GAMBIT!). It comes out on my birthday so I can't wait.
1)Are you looking forward to the new Wolverine movie?
2)If your of that religious persuasion, are you doing anything for Lent?
3)How do you feel ab out these late blogs, should I post them early in the morning instead of real late at night. When i work in the middle of the day I can't decide when to post it.
