Page Two;
Byakuran has a quirky way of speaking, in which he combines the words for 'study' and 'teach'. Because there was no way to effectively translate it into English, I made it into a full sentence.
Page Three;
Because the Subject of sentences (like headphones), on this page, are often not stated in Japanese (but obvious to the speaker/listener), I included the subject anyway-in here, and other places-- so it would make more sense.
Page Four;
Byakuran's 'please', in this case, is denotative of an order, to an underling (in short form, though, which also denotes that it's a casual order). Therefore, even though it sounds polite in English, it's a little scary, in Japanese!
Page Six;
AUHDIAHJDOIAJODJA. Okay, so while translating, I was having a very difficult time trying to figure this page out. The words were easy, but the context seemed AWKWARD? I didn't know what the significance of '48 Hands' was, and thought it might be a cultural reference. SO A BIG THANK YOU TO disclaim, WHO ASKED technophile WHAT IT MEANT FOR ME; auhfiuahufha and apparently, it's 48 famous sexual positions. Thank you for the information! 8D Haha.
Page Seven;
"Not like this… we're not doing it right." - In its literal form, he says, "Not in this way." But again, I wanted to include the unspoken implication in the text.
Page Eight;
I translated 'nether regions' incorrectly, due to prudishness. Come up with the real word on your own, please.
Page Eighteen;
'Tsukareba' means, literally, worn out. Not tired/sleepy, but physically drained.
Page Twenty;
Byakuran's statement about fashion being more important than form was difficult to translate into English. The phrase he uses, 'kara hairu', to connect 'physical/outside look' to the verb 'has/is', is a set phrase that can best be described as 'jumping the gun'. The phrase literally means as follows; (ex.) If you decide you want to play tennis, and before even trying out for the team (or even practicing at tennis), you go and buy yourself a uniform and an expensive racquet-you have pulled a 'kara hairu'. In other words, he's telling Shouichi, 'It's just like a Japanese person to be more concerned with the school uniform, than the learning itself! AMIRITE?' Shou counters roughly that only female high school students think like that, trying to be ironic. (Shou's sarcastic remark also didn't translate well. It was literally; 'What a clever thing to say, what you said, I feeel like, I should have also spoken about that, too.')
Page Twenty-One;
His shirt probably a joke on 'Blood Peppers', since it says 'Blood' ____ something. But the handwriting was too messy, and I couldn't make it out. Could be a joke about nosebleeds, too-?
