*cough cough cough*
Called in sick to work today... I'm a little tired of this virus-thing I have, whatever it is! I was sick for much of last week (sore throat, general achiness, fever, etc.), though I started feeling much better Thursdayish. Since then, however, it's all moved to my chest/throat. I've lost my voice through all the nonstop coughing, and have been guzzling tea with honey and cough drops to soothe my poor throat.
So I woke up early this morning, all set to do an opening shift at the bookstore. Got dressed and tried to have some breakfast, but I couldn't stop coughing long enough to even breathe, let alone wedge a spoon into my mouth. I've convinced I'm no longer contagious, but customers tend not to appreciate me hacking and coughing all over their books while I ring them up, and I can barely speak anyway, so I thought it would be best to stay home today.
At least I was able to get some stuff done around the apartment, but I still wish this obnoxious cough would go away. *sigh*
