Houses, Jobs, and Daycare Shtuff
Well, the deadline on our escrow came and went with no word from the seller's bank. By now, I had seen bigger homes at lower prices on the market. So we decided to back out of the offer. We will get our deposit back since it was a default on the selling side. Also, the place only had 1 bathroom. You can't due 1 bathroom when there's 2 adults in the house. So we're back on the market looking for something affordable with 2 bathrooms. Been looking at townhomes and condos mostly. I will post more news when and if there is more available.
In preparation of buying the other place, I went back to work. I now work for Ikon Office Solutions as a Field Service Rep. Big name for a floater, eh? My "set" home base is San Jose, but really, I just leave from home and go where I'm scheduled everyday. I get mileage also, but only if it goes over 9.6 miles(the distance between the San Jose office and the current house). Oh, and 14/hr is good also.
Whatever I earn is mostly eaten up by daycare. Daycare in the area is complete daylight robbery. Tabby is in a preschool right now and I pay $910/month and they're only open from 7:30AM-5:30PM. Five minutess before is the earliest I can drop her off. No picking up late at all. Can't afford anywhere else, places that are open longer hours charge $1200/mo. That's just about what I bring home every month.
Did I mention that I am EXHAUSTED!!!! I haven't worked full time out of the home since 2005 (since right before Tabby was born). So, I guess I better go examine the inside of my eyes for a while, 6:00AM comes too soon.
