Why is it I hatet his country?

For a long period of my life I walked with out careing who or what was running this country. We where protected by the constitution given freedoms unquestionable and unrevokable by any authority in the united states of america. I thought those in charge of our country would have some adeptness at it, some ability to perform their basic positions. As I have grown older, started paying more attention I have found all these things are wrong, and it makes me sick.

Our president is a joke, plan and simple, a man driven by forces that do not have the best intrest of our nation in hand. I'm not saying I agreed fully with how the health care bill for under privilaged children was being paid for but it was not "Poor kids first"(bushes actual reason for veto) that vetoed it when the senent got it passed I know that for damn sure.

The senent isn't much better as they don't seem to be doing anything with in their job anymore ither and my only rationalization is that the exteme heated blood feud going on between democrats and republicans has actually managed to criple this country from achieving any kind of progress, as the democrats attempt to do something useful and the republicans who don't get their way have the presiden vote down any thing they do, so both sides have given up and have been reduced to bitching and moaning about what ever is in the news. For instance one day actually composed of the republican party bitching about moveon.org's add of "General Betrayus" and how it is a treasonous add even though free speech is protected by the constitution AND thats the fucking reason we left england, the inability to talk shit about the king. Afterwards the democrats attempt to steer the conversation in a positive direction but only end up moaning about something equally idiotic (can't remember now but take my word it was stupid)

A tear rolled down my eye when I was watching the daily show. John Stewart, a man who's show is considered a FAKE news show was talking with the newly elected president of a south american country. The man had brought democracy to his people for the first time in decades. He spoke like a man who believed in the power of democracy and if there was a problem it was the peoples responsibility to stand up and do something about it. A decree explicitly stated in OUR constituion, that it is the responsiblity of those who can act to do so. This mans country had more patriatisim, more belief in democracy than the entirity of the population of the United states of america... and it made my heart sink. I have always said, The people who want to be in office do not deserve to be there, and the people deserve to be in office don't want to be there. I'm not entirely sure if I am one of these people, but I know we need to change, our country should not be this divided and it will not survive this divided.
