Yaoi-Con!!

Thursday, October 19
Got a couple hours of sleep, took my Abnormal Psych midterm, went straight to packing for San Francisco, took the bus to Union Station, searched Chinatown for an optometry on an empty stomach with a heavy-ass backpack, aquired contacts to complete my cosplay, helped some ppl find the dim sum place every tourist looks for, bused it back home, packed the rest of my things, met up with Jen and Floyd when they finally got home, left (to Irvine) to pick up Floyd's registration letter (which we didn't need!), ate at In-n-Out & stopped by Albertsons to sustain us for the trip, (9 or 10p.m.) finally left for San Francisco!

Friday, October 20
5:30a.m. we arrived in San Francisco and slept in the car until 11a.m. when we checked into the hotel and got ready for Yaoi-con.
Jen was Hitachiin Hikaru, I was Hitachiin Kaoru, and Floyd was Otori Kyouya. Once we got there, we were dragged to a group of Ouran fans who wanted a picture. then we picked up our badges, wandered around, took pics, went to the swap-meet, hosted Hitachiin fangirls, joined random Ouran ppl for a group picture, went searching for food, ended up at Gulliver's[?] (some sort of Seafood-Steakhouse place with nice piano), and went back to our hotel where we took even more pics, watched an episode of Rozen Maiden Traumend, and slept. Luckily the king sized bed was big enough to fit all three of us comfortably.

Saturday, October 21
Watched another ep of Rozen Maiden and then left the hotel in cosplay. Jen was Honey, I was Haruhi, Floyd was Mori. This day, we decided to wear "glomp me" signs since it was a fun concept we saw at AX but not really at Yaoi-con. As we came out of the elevator to look for something to do, some guy we meet the day before in the swap-meet line tackled me in the hall and ran away. That was funny. We all got a good number of glomps. We also spent the day going to other main events like the Bishie auction and AMV contest. Both fun.
We also came across a girl we met at AX. She was the artist in the artist alley who we had draw our pictures. At Yaoi-con, she was dressed as an adorable Naruto and we were able to settle some things we left unresolved at AX. That was cool. :D

Sunday, October 22
We didn't cosplay this day since we only stopped by to check out the dealers and then go home. There was an interesting seller we came across who was trying to introduce us to naughty toys. That was awkward ^^;; We all agreed that was weird (and also that the guy was kinda cute), then we continued searching around until we had to leave.

PMX!!

Saturday, October 28
We did the Hitachiin brothers and Kyouya again. The reason we went was b/c my anime club was going to do an Ouran group and I thought we might as well join them if we're going to do Ouran the weekend before anyway. It was great. We flocked people who took pics of our Ouran group (us three+Elizabeth/Tamaki) and did a photoshoot in the garden. After my club left, we made new friends and hung out with them for the rest of the con. One was dressed as Tuxedo Kaimen[?]/Tuxedo Mask and name was Dustin. Another was Sora from Kingdom Hearts, his name was Joseph. And the other girl wasn't in cosplay, her name was Kathy. We went to the concert and then the arcade, where Jen, Floyd, and I went crazy over the candy machine and ended up getting two bags of M&Ms (one white chocolate, one milk), a bag of skittles, and a forth bag which I don't remember. Then we said goodbye to our new friends (who we'll probably meet up with at AX!), and went home.

cosplay, san francisco, happy, weekend
