Traumatic Dishes

Sep 30, 2008 21:50

I've had two really good days now. And that makes me happy.

I had therapy today. We spent a lot of time with Madeline, convincing her not to kill me. We worked out that she's going to try spending more time co-fronting with me to get some more pleasant activities.

We also discovered that Shane holds traumatic memories of doing the dishes. How does one have traumatic dish memories you might ask? Well when they involve theh dishes being thrown and lots of yelling, you have traumatic dish memories.

We also talked to Charlie about Ten Year Old. As I may or may not have mentioned, they seem to share some sort of link. We're trying to help Charlie out of this cycle of yelling at Ten Year Old, who then gets upset, and then gets the other children upset and then gets Madeline suicidal. Its a tough process.

I think I'm going to start reading with the kids and Madeline. Its the one activity that Robin and I think will go over well for all the parts (Charlie excluded, but he might want to come too). I'm trying to come up with a good book, preferably about a girl, that kids would enjoy. Suggestions would be wonderful.

Well thats it for now. Goodnight!
