Pet Peeve on Holiday Wishes
As ya'll know, I am part of a community called Holiday Wishes.. The point is to grant wishes & to have your wishes granted.. I love doing this, however I do have one pet peeve about it.. The thank you's.. or lack thereof..
To Germany, I sent 4 packs of Jello, flavours they don't have there.. it cost more to ship than the cost of the actual wish.. I've not heard from this lady to advise that it was received, let alone that she liked them & appreciated them.. Nothing on my journal, nothing on hers & nothing in the thank you community..
To Luxembourg, I sent a Canadian Care package to a girl from Ottawa who is currently there & wanted some Canadianna.. I've not heard from her either..
I think it's really sad that when you know someone has taken the time to do something like that, especially one that has a bit of a price to it and is international, and you don't bother with a simple thank you.. even just to let the sender know the gift was received.
My thank you's, for everything received, (1) are on my journal, as you've seen, and (2) on the matching holiday thank you community, (3) on users' journals, (4) sent via email or (5) are sent in the mail, snail mail..
I don't think I am gonna send anything more than what can fit in an envelope next year, unless I know the person from previous years..
