She might feel she failed as a religious adviser in some way
personally I don't think someone failed when not converting someone to their religion. That's why everyone is free to choose their own. And atheism is kinda a religion too, since it is a belief after all. And I don't think there's nothing wrong when someone decides not to believ a metaphysic being, but that's just me.
I come from a family of non-believers. But I don't think my mum would see me as "failed" when I would convert to Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism etc.
I don't think it's a matter of "conversion" per se. She was very good with taking us to church as kids, and I've been in the Catholic school system for 15 years. I just think with all that time and effort shes put into us being Catholic, or at the very least religious, she didn't expect me to completely renounce any idea of religion.
lol ok I understand that. But maybe it was *too* much? I always wonder if kids that go to religious school will really turn out religious at the end or if it will have the opposite effect (like what happened to you).
