had a FANTABULOUS time in Ohio this weekend with Mikey! phil's wedding was beautiful and mike looked so handsome in his tux and i got some wedding ideas of my own ;). nathan and his brother kevin were my "dates" since mike was a groomsmen and we had a good time being A.D.D. afterwards, mike showed me around his hometown and showed me the house he grew up in. then we went to Athens so he could show me around Ohio University. we stayed with nathan and kevin in the SMO house. the campus is SO beautiful! we went to a party at this girls house and i got to meet more of the legendary OU people. also, OU has one of the top Journalism schools in the country. Matt Lauer graduated from there. i think if i got accepted into their graduated program for Broadcast Journalism, i would definately go. mike said he would go with me too. its a nice thought, but i think i may just check out ASU's or UGA's broadcast journalism programs. i need to set up an internship at a news station too. im hoping mike can get me in at NBC since he works there. it feels SO good to finally have some direction in life. i think coming to charleston was good for me, so i could figure a lot of stuff out on my own. ive realized a ton about myself and the things i need to work on. i dont think i would have realized so much if it werent for mike. he really knows me better than ANYONE EVER has known me, and it feels good to be so mentally and emotionally intimate with someone for the first time in my life. he is very supportive and encouraging in my desire to be a news anchor...it really helps to give me the confidence i need to pursue this goal!
since Phil's wedding was on Valentines Day, mike and i are going to celebrate it this weekend in combination of our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! granted, we havent been dating EXCLUSIVLY for one year, but one year ago we met and started getting to know each other and hanging out. we're going to have dinner at Carrabas (where we went on our first date!) and then i think we may go listen to some jazz somewhere or go dancing. saturday im going to Davids Bridal with Erin to get my bridesmaid dress! im excited about being in another wedding...and the dress sounds really pretty. i hope i can see my Elizabeth this weekend too. im excited about moving into the apartment! i went to go check it out thursday night before we left for Ohio and i really liked the apartment! i think it will be really nice once we girl it up and make it all homey and comfy. imagine how our apartment will be with the both of us nesting at the same time. i found myself looking at engagement rings today without even meaning to. at least i know what kind of ring i want for that time in the future. im so sick and cheesey. i never thought i would be this girlie about love and relationships. i guess it just takes the right person? and im being very popcorn :)
