there is something very wrong with our generation. there is this overwhelming sense of entitlement, that things should be easy, that should be given to us, and when they are not, we find some reason why everyone is out to get us, whether it be race or creed or just being an idiot. it makes all the companies feel like they have to cover their asses before the even hire anyone.

although i agree that this generation as a whole does feel entitled and such (for example, oprah complaining that that shop was being racist when they simply refused to let her in after they were closed), i also feel that the absence of any such laws would be a disaster. racism is still prevalent, as the high hate crime statistics suggest.
