Bermuda V.S. Hurricane Florence

Sep 08, 2006 16:19

This time tomorrow Bermuda will be going 1 on 1 with hurricane Florence...swell. I believe Florence isn't a major threat at the moment, then again...its 4 miles wide. I'm not too concerned, Bermuda homes are VERY strong. In fact we do pretty well against level three hurricanes; it's just that we lose endless amounts of trees. I'll never forget when Hurricane Fabian came three years ago. About four people died, but those deaths could have been prevented. I think all four of them went to go secure their boats or something like that, DURING the actual storm! On their way home, they tried crossing a bridge, and this huge wave came and swept them into the anger waters. Despite their foolish mistake, I still mourned them in my own way.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that I won't be heard from for a while. Knowing our luck, we'll lose power for a while. I'll be thinking of you all. But I guess it'll be good for me to be off the computer for a little while. In fact, my Biology teacher made me realize how much technology controls our lives. Apparently she hasn't watched television in about 10 years, I kid you not. Although she admits she buys and watched DVD's every now and again. She was telling me that she use to be depressed and had antisocial problems and she believed it was because of the TV. So...she stopped watching TV and she hasn't been depressed since. To be honest, I don't get depressed, so its one of those emotions I don't fully understand. However, I'll admit that sometimes I'll see things on TV that would give me an uneasy feeling, but I still watch it. If TV was no longer around, I wouldn't care all that much, as long as the whole world is affected, lol. Even if I can't watch TV, I can still can video games. I just need the video games, lol.

To finally rap things up...I'm now in a HUGE love situation. Three girls now like me and it's really messing with my head. Isn't life ironic? I was just complaining the other week about being alone, but now some force hears and grants my wish. Heh...I'll think of something.

Anyway, this is goodbye...for now anyway. You'll hear me from me after the storms passes over. Laters.
