Giving Up So Soon?

I feel so wide and awake after that long shower I just had. My allergies were acting up again, I have a hunch it's the weather. I just noticed two things that I find very weird about myself. One, despite the hot summer weather, I still find myself taking pretty warm showers. Warm enough to faintly fog up my bathroom mirror. Not to mention this

It's not weird, plenty of people do it - including myself! So don't worry, it does feel far more comfortable on the stomach for me. If I was ever in hospital then I'd find it really hard to get to sleep simply because they make you sleep on your back or side.

I usually have warm showers in any weather, cold just doesn't do it for me. It still get's rid of the sweat and stickiness so I reckon it doesn't really matter in the end.

Maybe he just got bored with it but, in the end, if he's the kind of person that gives up so easily when under pressure then he's defintally not right for the police force. If he doesn't require your sympathy than don't give it up. I know it sounds harsh but you have a future you need to be concentrating on, you can't waste your time worrying about someone elses. I did that with my brother, I cared at first but he just didn't want to listen. It's all good now since he's doing something he enjoys, I'm glad I stopped bugging him to be honest.

As for Melvin, you were right to do that. People can't expect you to give up your dream for the benefit of themselves. Pursue your dreams and don't let other people's dreams get in the way until you have acheived that goal. You may miss the guy but it'll all be worth it in the end.

Oh good. I was staring to think I wasn't human, lol. And don't get me started with hospitals. Their food alone is enough to kill yah. At least they have a few game systems at the hospital here.

Yeah I guess it doesn’t matter what kind of shower you get, hot or cold. But I hate waking up in the morning being stuck to my sheets, worst feeling in the world. I have started to take cold showers and I am slowly getting use to it. "I'm caught in the rain," I keep telling myself.

Yeah, go figure. He wants to be a cop yet he can't handle the pressure. Never looked at it like that before. Maybe I should actually stop and think before I give people my pity. I tend to jump right into it allot, lol. Thanks for bringing me down to earth about this, mate. I just hope I'll quit this little habit of mine. I'm sure it bugs you at times.

That was very well said. When I look back at it all, I just laugh. I can't get over that I was willing to stop my goals, just to be with a friend. I feel like slapping myself, all of a sudden. But thanks again for the words of advice and wisdom. :)

I think we have been good friends for an entire year! We met around August, I think. :)
