I'm a nice boss...believe it!!!
Well winter has finally arrived in Bermuda...it's official. My house has gotten so cold, so I covered myself in a big brown sheet. But anyway I had to wake up 8:00 in the morning to go to the aquarium. But I didn't want to get up lol. So my mother did what she allways does when she can't get me up...take away my bed covers lol. When I loose my covers, I loose the urdge to continue my slumber. So since I was already late, I quickly skipped a long breakfast, and ate two french toasts I warmed up in the toaster, and I was of to work. Lucky for me my job is only about 10 minutes from my house. When I arrived, I was ordered by my superiors to take give orders the JV'S (Junior Voulnteers is what the aquarium calls them)that were scheduled to work in my depatrment. Surprsingly I wasn' nervious at all about giving them orders today. I'm kind of laid back, so I won't make you perform a certain task if don't want to, and I give like a 10 minute break after an hour.
Not to mention I make a few of them laugh with my cool sense of humor. All was going well until we reached the aquarium's pond. It was here were I told a JV to catch a few small fish to feed to the sargassum fish. So I showed him how it was done, I took the hand net from him, and on my third try I managed to catch a few fish. I told him don't give up so easily, an just take your time. So after a few more tries he managed to catch quite a bit. But he got overly excited and ended up falling in the water. There was a silent moment, and then he began to smile a bit, I through back my head and laughed.
So I took the fish from him that were in a bucket (which I was so glad that didn't go in the water with him)and I dismissed him. So I spent the rest of my day feeding the sargassum fish, and it was a cool sight to see him eat, Thise type fish use a vaccum force to suck in their pray, it's so fast if you blink you will miss it. But my amusement was disturbed when a wet hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to face the JV who fell in the pond, He told me he lost his wallet when he fell in, so I went back to the pond, and I helped him find it...and it took forever. Ofcourse I didn't go in the water myself, I jsut kept a watchful eye from dry land. But all and all it was a pretty good day for me. Who know's what instore for me tomorrow, but I suppose that dosen't matter at the moment since I have the rest of today to focus on.
