The Chronicle Remains

Mar 20, 2012 09:00

After several weeks of debates and intense discussions from more than a few impassioned readers, I’ve decided to keep the Chronicle open after the 4,000th post.

I received emails from more than a few friends and readers stressing that I needed to keep the Chronicle going because of the impact it’s made in regards to educating others on social justice, the plights of marginalized people, progressive media, etc.

I honestly wasn’t expecting this reaction but I guess given that more than a few posts have gone viral, I should have.

The main reason I had decided to stop the Chronicle was because of the time-suck it takes to pen posts. Hell I plan them and write them weeks in advance. My writing career is picking up and I want to focus on that. This blog is also an excellent platform to promote my projects.

Another reason is that there were a lot of things I wanted to say before I shut the blog down and I haven’t had the chance to say them yet.

I may change my mind again and shut the blog down at anytime or I may review things if and when I hit 5000 posts. We’ll see. I probably won’t be posting every day but for now I’m keeping the blog open. And let’s end this post with some Random Hawtness.
