This fight was ultimately pointless. This, Kazama was sure of -- there was no real gain of any sort to be had from winning (or at least emerging undamaged from) this fight. But maybe it would at least placate Hidan for the moment, was what Kazama hoped. Logically, perhaps it would have been most effective for him to simply take the blows that Hidan dealt -- after all, healing wouldn't be much of a problem at all.

But still. His pride had some say in this matter. And so when the first kick made contact, Kazama gave a low hiss, rolling into a low crouch when Hidan toppled over. Looking up just in time to see an incoming kick. Arm raised to defend his face, he braced himself -- cringing only marginally as he felt the joint of his elbow shatter with a dull crunch. A ratcheting pain shot through his arm, up his shoulder, and he winced for a moment before retaliating by throwing himself forward in something like a rolling tackle. The triangle-point of his shoulder caught Hidan in the gut, sending both of them crashing to the ground. And Kazama rolled off immediately, scrambling back to his feet -- giving a low hiss for a moment before gripping his broken arm and jerking the joint into its right place. Immediately, the tendrils of shadow began snaking from his skin, starting to mend the bones.
