Who: Shikamaru, Yosuke, Naruto, OPEN to other high schoolers or teachers.
Where: Terra High School.
When: Monday morning.
Summary: Naruto saw Shikamaru on TV. He's more impressed than Shikamaru is.
Rating: PG-13.
Other: Awesome special effects, man.

Yosuke really had been humoring the idea of just saying that he didn't want to go to school anymore. That he was going to drop out and just work for Madara for the rest of his life. He wondered what it would entail. Obviously enough respect that he could get into the Blood Moon and have anything that he would like. His head gave a few tilts from side to side, before deciding that Shika might actually kill him if he decided to do something like that ( ... )

Shikamaru winced at Yosuke's encounter with the door. Right, he should've anticipated that one. How many times had it happened before? The chivalrous thing to do would be to hold the door open for his friend, but... he really could never be troubled. "Watch where you're going," he scolded instead, but only once he was sure Yosuke actually was okay.

Taking his own advice, Shikamaru returned his attention forward as he continued walking. They had the same lockers as last year, which was good because he hated memorizing things like that. Along the way, though, he couldn't help but notice how many stares they were getting. Everyone really had seen him and Yosuke on television, hadn't they? He set his face into a glower and aimed his eyes directly forward, avoiding those gawking looks with determination.

He was so wound up that when Naruto appeared suddenly in front of him, hand outstretched as if to grab him, Shikamaru raised his arm instantly to shove him away. "Get out of our way," he grumbled.

"I will, I will." He held his hands up mixture of apology and brushing off the scolding voice. It was really nice to be able to have these moments, again. Actually felt like things were getting back to normal. He wondered if he should start worrying that something would happen to ruin it. Having grabbed for whatever unfortunate sucker happened to be in the way at the time, Naruto's hand connected with Shikamaru's before he actually looked at his face. As he turned his business smile from the last victim to the latest, his face fell into a dumbstruck look.

The momentary dead silence was deafening after Naruto's lung power filling the halls for such a period of time. His eyes narrowed, almost angrily, as he stared the pineapple kid down.

He'd seen this guy somewhere. If it was around here last year, that'd make sense, but he got the feeling that it was something else--

"OH SHIT!" Naruto yelled, loud enough for Elysium to hear, slapping a hand to his forehead in amazement as he continued starting, but this time in disbelief. "YOU WERE ON TV!"
