Nataku had visited his comatose cousin. As always, he was tucked away in some room in the manor. The child would move him from time to time like that would help him, but he did not want Kakyou to be "forced to see" the same room over and over. Of course, he also began wondering if Kakyou was having nice dreams, wondering if it would be a kindness or not to snap his neck so that he would not be forced to continue living in the manner in which he was. His thoughts then went to Flemming and would have to ask if the scientist had the same thoughts towards Hans.

That problem would have to come later as he had one that he could actually make a decision on to fix. Only connection that he had with the issue with his cousin and the issue with Nagi was that both seemed to be in a state of "sleep." Nagi no longer seemed like himself, but more going through the motions. This seemed unacceptable as eventually this would ruin Genkaku's mood. Genkaku's mood would affect Johan. And so, the dining tray was grabbed with various pots, pans, and items from the kitchen to make a meal that would be prepared in the study. He already decided on who that person would be.

As the door opened, he began to speak calmly and what he considered rationally. "I apologize for trying to murder you at dinner so long ago. I only apologize, because he seemed to be upset with it." The tray was pushed until it was right next to Nagi's desk. "However, that does not mean that you can get away with anything that you like. Your mood is unsavory and so you shall make dinner for tonight."

Nataku gestured to what he had been pushing, as though its presence was not enough of an indicator. "I was kind enough to bring it to you rather than drag you to the kitchen. So set that aside and do this."

It took Nagi an unusually long moment to respond to the sound of steel clattering from behind the door, to respond to anything, really. His thoughts distractedly careening from one place to the next, it wasn't until Nataku had started talking that Nagi straightened up, staring blankly at the cartful of pots and pans. And he continued to stare, his features curiously drained of any emotion. It took him an even longer moment to absorb what Nataku was saying. The other had always seemed to work on a rather strange train of logic, but in his current state, Nagi was having a harder time than usual comprehending what exactly Nataku was asking for. A meal? Here? Why him? Why now?

Automatically shuffling the papers back into some semblance of a neat pile, he turned in his seat, canting his head slightly to the side as he looked over the mess of kitchen utensils that Nataku had brought in. Letting his gaze drift over to Nataku himself, before he spoke slowly, his voice sounding faintly sleepy. "-- ah. The dinner -- it doesn't matter any more." The words were spoken blankly, almost as if he had forgotten about the incident for the most part. A pause, before a hand rose to rub at his temples. Giving his head a small shake in an attempt to clear his thoughts. (Maybe this would serve as a distraction. Something, anything, to keep himself sane.)

Rising from his seat, he stepped towards the cart, trying to keep his thoughts focused. "I -- suppose I wouldn't mind cooking, but what did you have in mind? And I'm not sure if it would be possible to do much here. Perhaps it would be best to go down to the kitchen?" And he attempted to smile -- managing to fake an empty imitation of the gesture.

"I suppose that you would feel that way." Nataku did not know what had been done to Nagi. He had simply believed that for whatever reason, the teacher had decided that Genkaku was someone that he should "cherish." Unaware that this would not actually be a desire of the other if things had been kept as they were. And so, he believed that it was simply in Nagi's personality to forgive being murdered, or assaulted in a manner that would could have ended in death.

"I see." He shifted between looking at the tray of food brought and to the man's face a few times. "You would have rather had me drag you off to the kitchen. I will keep that in mind." Keep it in mind the next time that he wished for Nagi to do something and it would be in another room or perhaps another building completely. His head tilted slightly as he took in that sentence, deciding that was a good thing. It saved time both in giving explanations and waiting for the other to follow him.

"Genkaku would be happy to know that you made the meal. Perhaps." He, as usual, sounded unsure. Nataku never knew what made his surrogate brother happy. Never quite sure why he wanted to make Genkaku happy other than it may bring some favor his way from Johan. Since the Senator seemed to still be ignoring him. He had no other way to make sure that the man thought kindly about him. His hands twisted the ribbon ends that hanged over his shoulders, eyes shifted slowly from side to side. "Yes, it will make him happy."
