It was growing increasingly harder to focus, though exhaustion might have played a part in that. But then again, the cause of the exhaustion was the same as the cause of his inability to concentrate -- it all stemmed from the single mental clash between true memories and implanted commands. And really, it was impressive that Nagi hadn't fallen catatonic already. But as it was, his head was constantly hurting something awful, no matter how much he tried not to think about those matters -- knowing that dwelling on them would only corner him into insanity. Pushing the majority of his personal thoughts into the back of his mind, he went about his life in a numb sort of daze, performing tasks in a detached sort of mindset, just barely acting normal. Barely.
But currently, he wasn't even making much of an effort towards a normal facade. Sitting in his usual place in the Liebert mansion's study, faced by a pile of papers to grade, he stared numbly at the sea of letters for a long moment before simply slumping over onto the desk, chin resting on his crossed arms, pen rolling onto the desk. A quiet inhale, and a long breath out, as he blinked slowly. The constant niggling pain at the back of his head never ceased to plague him, but emptying his thoughts and remaining quiet like this tended to help at least a little bit. Closing his eyes, he sighed. -- started to wonder about what to do, before the pain started escalating, and he once more shoved those thoughts away. Trying to think of -- nothing.
