It sort of felt like he was a little kid in how he got Itachi to agree to hang around (or at least return) for sticking around at night. He had stood outside of the man's room, yelling his name until the door opened so that he could prompt him about dinner. Yosuke wasn't even sure if the plan was going to work, but it wasn't like he could leave some passive-aggressive note to a mob boss. But why he opted to just yell at him through a door as his only option was anyone's guess. Either way, he got an affirmative nod from Itach. Who cared if he looked half-asleep?

Sighing, he hoped that he wasn't too late to get back to the estate. He had to go out to get dinner since it seemed like Itachi didn't want to cook and none of the beauties were around to make a meal for them. That meant that he had to go grab some fast food - tacos. He supposed that he could have gotten something a little healthier, but at least it was slightly better than burger and fries.

Looks like I'm going to have to learn how to cook. Stat. Stopping outside the estate ( ... )

While 'the beauties' were certainly absent and the grounds were largely empty, there was still one more person in the estate -- who was awoken by the constant rustle of footsteps and calling of voices. -- Kazama had come to Itachi earlier, determined to wrangle a sparring match out of the other, only to be told that he still wasn't in the right condition for it. (It was difficult to deny this accusation, as his condition hadn't improved -- had deteriorated even further, just the slightest, if anything.) But still, he'd spent a great deal of the previous evening in the courtyards training by himself, working himself into exhaustion, and had finally simply collapsed (with permission, of course), in one of the estate's empty rooms ( ... )

The rejection of Kazama’s urge for a spar and the request for having dinner from Yosuke were both nothing but idle trivialities. The Uchiha had been in a half-daze, such as he’s been most of the time. The late night round of scouting and constant meetings of the other members from the elite criminal organization were common - as were his nature of languid relaxation. Itachi was sleeping in his room, a book on his chest and scarlet hues closed - the sudden lively aspect that the estate received were of no concern for the Uchiha, his peace was not broken, the noises of shuffling and gaming consoles passed through one ear and out the other ( ... )

Shikamaru waited, not too long in general but still too long for someone to answer the door. The familiar sound of Yosuke's creaky bike made him turn around and raise a brow. What the heck was Yosuke doing out of the house? Of course he answered that question himself, gaze dropping to the take-out bags. "Are those... tacos?" he asked, a little incredulously. Not that there was anything wrong with tacos, but it seemed so bizarre to be going to someone's giant mansion and finding that dinner was going to be fast food ( ... )
