Summary: A challenge from a crow to an owl
Rating: PG-13
Waiting, quietly. It was an odd situation, one that Nagi really hadn't expected to find himself in any time soon -- or at all. A sudden call to the Scar Chain, issuing a challenge. The purpose of a fight? Apparently none, save the thrill of battle. And Nagi had almost ignored it at first, dismissed it as something not worth the trouble -- but, in the end, caved. Because, maybe there was potential there. A possible ally for the Scar Chain. Maybe.
Nagi wasn't foolish enough to deny that the Scar Chain was in a precarious situation. His own return had been treated with a certain amount of caution, and the majority of the members had fled Terra out of fear of the incoming military oppression. And though the general plan was to resume a battle against the unjust government powers, things seemed increasingly difficult. (Not to mention, the lurking threat of him turning up again. Nagi couldn't help but flinch at the thought of that. The prospect of being torn apart once more.)
Shaking himself out of this droll train of thought, he sat on one of the piles of metal crates scattered about the warehouse, wondering who this challenger was. The mask he'd once worn was unusable now, associated too closely with that travesty of an execution, so a different one hid his features, a half-mask shaped in the features of a non-descript bird. Absently brushing fingers over the shoulder of his jacket, over where previous injuries were slowly healing, he looked towards the entrance of the warehouse, waiting for some sign of the challenger.
