I'll Be There for You, Cuz You're There for me Too
Adorable Saturday!
Yesterday, I finished watching "Friends." My flatmate Jindi lent me the entire season throughout the year, and I grew quite enamored of the silly show. I know it's not Oscar material and I know it's waaaay old, but the characters really helped me along. Some of the junk that happened to them, happens to most of us, which is why, I suppose, the series became so popular. In some minute and funky way, it helped me accept some things in my life and gave me the courage to try some other things, and to laugh at what half a million people must be going through as well! No, I may not be as thin and well-dressed as Rachel, but that didn't stop me from identifying with her. Ha ha! I'm gonna miss watching "Friends" in the morning after breakfast. Out of all the characters, I loved Ross the best! Then came Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe, and lastly Monica. Monica is cute, but she is too uptight and competitive and selfish. I hope I'm noooothing like Monica.
Yeah, I know I probably should've been hooked into "Friends" back when it was new, or back when I lived in New York. Heck, it made me wish I was back in NYC a bunch of a lot! But, back then it was so popular and so "hip"and "in", that it turned me off big time. Ha ha! It's alright, cuz I could enjoy it this time around, and discovered how special it was all by myself. Gonna miss it, man.
We started watching the new Indiana Jones movie last night, after visiting one of Steve's mates, Kev. Who knew we'd be seeing an Indiana Jones movie after so long? Man! But, I really like those movies, despite how fake it all is. Harrison Ford still looks fab! Ha ha! If ya haven't seen it, go watch it, cuz it's not that bad. It makes me wanna watch the old ones, but I don't have a Netflix service. Trust you me, that's one of the first things I'm getting when we move to Australia! A DvD rental service so I can watch a lot of the movies I've missed out while living in the UK. Ha ha ha!
Phil's birthday tonight, for which we are headed to The Odyssey. I might go for Chinese today, since the day is a bit sunny. By sunny I mean, the sun is out behind a lot of clouds, and it isn't rainy or foggy.
Only 13 days to go until I'm on a plane, and out of this country! Wooohooo!!! Catch ya all later, mateys! Kiss the cats for me.
