First Steps as a Doctor to Be

Jun 22, 2006 19:08

My Orientation Days at the Med School are done with. Granted, these were not the ones for the school I'll be actually going to, but to a school I've decided not to go to. Still, I heard important things I needed to hear. Study skills, safety practices, and all kinds of things a person needs to hear when he is about to start Medicine School. So, no ( Read more... )

I never was that fond of the orientations, cept when I was a high school freshman. That was cool. But other than that? Didn't ever like them. (They all seemed more like "social gather" rather than "orientation" here)

And thanks! It was fun to get away for a few days but I'm really glad to be back home lol

You vacation seemed Ok to me, though. I bet you had some fun! Ha ha!

I liked the orientation. The school's just not my type. I do not see myself happy there, no matter what folks swear. So sorry! I dig orientations, because I get all thrillish inside. Ha ha!

I DID have lots of fun, but I'm a bit of a home body and adore being home. *laughs* Boring, I know, but I genuinely like my house...I just get annoyed with gramma and mom occassionally. (Which is why the vacation was perfectly timed)

Ahhh..*nods*

I would have liked our orientations more, but like I said they were more "oo let me be seen!" and not "okay, this is who I'll be taught by" so yeah.

Heh - I did notice that, yeah. The people saying and doing things that irked me, and you're right -- it was more of a "loook at ME!" kind-of-a thing. GRR! I hated the school. Too bad Rick drove 8+ hours to be there!!!

I get tired of my mom, too.
She irks me at times.

*nods* Snobs are no fun...cept to make fun of them. *grins*

8+ hours? *shudder*

Well me and gramma have some long standing problems, so it gets really tense here from time to time. (Such as one incident where she snooped into my fics, found some slash bits I had written, read them, showed them to mom, and proceeded to have a long and fun time dogging me about them.)

So yeah, 4 days was definately needed.

Snooping in into your writing? Oh, lords. I'd die! I think writing -- specially fantasies, such as slash -- is extremely private. I mean, it's things one wishes would happen, or dreams about. It's outmost personal, and quite embarrasing. Anything we write is private. I'd die if my family read my stuff. It's not sex related, but it does have strong things in it, like death and hatred. Oh, my.

Yeah, time between them and you = always good.

It wouldn't have been so bad if she hadn't condemned me for it. That's what was the worst. It..it..it was awful.

And YES...time is good. VERY good. (especially when you take into account that I don't have my own room and share with said grandmother. Thankfully she works the night shift)

19, my friend.

And I think I should too, but I have no job, no car, and no license. So for now, I have to deal with it.

I don't mind riding and all, but I know it can be hell on both passenger and driver. (so says I who had to spend nearly 14 hours on a bus with about 31 other kids from the ages of 12 to 18)

Oh, man, Rick. Once you live back in the US of A there'll be Cracker Barrels everywhere for YOU! Lucky dog!!!

There's a Cracker Barrel out at Lowell, MA... which winds up meaning I'll likely never go. Not until I get a car, anyway.
