Five day update:
1)Decent improvement on the nap situation, but not perfect
2)Didn't stalk, but didn't exactly let it be. But I'm ready to now.
3)hahahahaha
Paper's due tomorrow(ish). Haven't started. Don't have a topic. It's 2AM. I'm taking that extension. I think that's a FAIL.
4)Not a bit closer to having read those novels. Actually, even more behind. FAIL.
5)I'm posting this and (see #3). I think that counts for glued to the computer. FAIL.
6)Meh. Not doing well on the going to bed thing. (Again, see #3)
Other news and points of interest:
- Yesterday, Ecology Club was officially recognized by the Student Senate!
- Great coffeehouse tonight at Chums. Caitlin, Plesser, and I sang "By My Side" from Godspell together and I thought it went very well, though I was weak on the opening before I got warmed up. We all got to eat custom-decorated cookies, courtesy of Brenda and Frances, in honor of the Ides and the same two performed a scene and wore stunningly-crafted togas which made me quite happy to see. At one point, there was a gap in performance scheduling, so somehow we all ended up doing a vocal open-mic event. I sang "Adelaide's Lament" from Guys and Dolls and I had my usual good deal of fun with it, though I didn't take care on my starting pitch, so the notes were a bit rocky for bits because I didn't start the way I normally did. And it's always a bit more difficult without an accompaniment. Fortunately, it's a forgiving song and people seemed to enjoy my rendition. It was lovely to hear all the others sing too, especially Frances and Steph. I think we should do this much more often. :-) Plesser performed quite the set, which was very well received, and rightfully so. Oh, and we all got our t-shirts, which I'm really pleased with despite the fact that we all kind of look like we're wearing the flag of Montenegro.
- I think that tonight I will finalize which photo I am to bring in tomorrow and then sleep. I will try to wake up early so that I can get something going on this essay and then go fetch Caitlin. But as it is, I could only get less than 7 hours of sleep if my head hit the pillow this second.
- My midterm was okay-ish. I didn't prepare much at all, unfortunately. Like, really not at all. So there were definitions and such that I was shaky on. I definitely will not be receiving top marks, but I also don't think I'm going to fail. I didn't even get to the last section (worth 30%) after 2 hours of work (for a 1.5 hour class) and I had to be a rehearsal. Most of the class was still there too, which meant that I had a lot of work ahead of me because I'm always one of the last in the class to go, if I have time to finish at all. I figured that I was done for, but I was also desperate and figured that it couldn't hurt to ask the professor if I could finish another time, since I hadn't looked at the last section at all. Without any hesitation he told me "Wednesday", which is when our class meets again, and I was so relieved and surprised and grateful. This is the first exam I've had that said "you can take as long as you need" and meant it.
- I feel there was something else, but it's quite fled my mind. I really need to go to sleep. It seems that all my entries end on that note.
