Today Is Made of WIN
Today rocked because:
- In spite of not having read the seminar text and being about five/ten minutes late, I managed to make a point that made Alston go "*thoughtful look* Yeah, that's a very very good point. Pity it's not new, so you can't publish it, I'm afraid. Someone's just written something about that..." So win.
- I got new books. As well as some new library books.
- I went to the fruit sale and am now self-sufficient in apples (like WOAH so many apples), grapes and strawberries. I also went to the sweet sale. *innocent smile* Fruit salads, strawbs and flying saucers.
- I have an essay to write in the next few hours. What's win about that, you ask? Catullus and Sappho: THEY are what is win about this essay.
And, what, oh what, was the MOST win part of the day?!
I HAVE A HOUSE FOR NEXT YEAR!
And nor is it just ANY house! It is the most awesome house ever! EVER!
So, currently this house is inhabited by Megan Blackshaw and her three housemates who are all graduating and therefore moving out so Megan needed three more people to live with. Those three people are now myself, Melanie and some second year history student called Chris who we don't know yet. But... oh... it's awesome. So awesome. And the kitchen has pretty tiles, and there's an almost conservatory with a BAR. I kid you not. And the rooms are all awesome. And it's like two roads away from Tescos. And it's generally ftw.
Mm's gonna be a good night tonight. I can feel it, y'all.
