Warning, the post below might be *slightly* graphic... but not really.
Why did nobody tell me that when your water breaks it's the most insane thing ever?! Like seriously, I felt like I'd just jumped into a bath with my clothes on... but it didn't stop there. The water just kept on coming IN GUSHES for a couple of hours! What the heck do you do to prepare for that?! I mean, do you stand with a friggin bucket between your legs? I was in the waiting room for the antenatal day clinic, waiting to get checked out cos stuff was starting. Of course the room was completely full of pregnant women... At least they'll know what they're in for now!!! And we didn't have to wait to be seen to. I laughed so hard.
So now I'm sitting here waiting for my contractions to get close enough together to go to the hospital. http://www.contractionmaster.com/ is a very useful little tool. I *heart* the internet. Right now they're coming every 8 minutes. Just have to get down to 3. I'm actually pretty darned relaxed, all things considered.
