exciting comeback post

What kind of training are they giving shop clerks here?  It seems like whenever they can see I don't have any bags and I buy something that's too large to carry in a pocket, like a magazine, they make me ask for a bag to carry it, but when I have 2-3 bags of stuff and buy something that's small enough to pop in one of the bags I have I'm ALWAYS asked if I want another bag just to carry this one thing.  What the hell.

Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

*Slayer
(not the band hopefully.  I don't know them at all)
My choice of default avatar, because he's cool and sophisticated and all-knowing and I'd want to be associated with those traits.  Joint-favourite Guilty Gear character with Doctor Faust.  Back when I played GG a lot more I think he was one of my most-used characters too, because his lack of combos was a nice match for my lack of combo ability.

*The U.K.
Where I live might give me a slightly different perspective and experiences than most of the people I know online but I don't think it matters too much in an increasingly globalised and interconnected world.  Maybe some people find having a foreign friend is exotic, I don't know.
(For the record; I've never met the Queen, I don't listen to the Sex Pistols and only Americans think Monty Python is funny.)

*old anime
This one threw me for a loop.  I barely watch ANY anime, which is partly to do with gaming and the internet taking up enough of my time and partly the abysmal availability of anime in the UK.  Don't think of comparing it to UK game releases.  Worse.  Miles worse.  Being an anime fan in the UK necessitates importing or less scrupulous methods if you ever want consistent access to anything that's not Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell or a Studio Ghibli film.  'Old anime' would be even harder to find since Western distributors seem to believe anime didn't exist before Akira.
Or maybe this was inspired by me mentioning Osamu Tezuka a few times.  He's the exception here as I've made it my mission to watch or read anything created by him, and that would fall under 'old anime' since he's twenty years gone.

*Youtube
I'm happy with this one.  I waste a fabulous amount of time on the site and have a knack for finding and remembering good videos.  And I like sharing videos I know people will enjoy.  Long-time readers can attest to how many times I've posted an update that's just 'hay lookit this video' but this is something I wouldn't mind being known for.  My YouTube-fu is strong.

*fighting games
Another one that confused me.  I'm terrible at fighting games because I don't have the right mindset for playing them well and I hate being competitive with others but I enjoy watching professional-level players and appreciating the level of skill they have.  Some people say they get demotivated watching pros because they know they'll never be that good but since I've already accepted that I'll never be any good I don't have that problem.
Maybe I have been posting about fighting games a lot but I'd attribute that to circumstances since 2008 was probably the best year the genre has ever seen and that led to more posts about it.  New Street Fighter, SF2 updated after 15 years, new KoF, new Smash, a Versus series revival and Blazblue all in the space of one year would be definitive enough and that's just the A-list.  So much for a dying genre.
