Round 2 - 24/10/08 - 27/10/08
I didn't drop out the next day as I thought I would, I went down to 48 and then out of the top 50 the day after.
Samus did amazingly well this round. Seeing the normally terrifying Ganondorf score as low as 25% is quite uncharacteristic. Normally he should have been closer to Samus than to Frog. Ahahaha I just noticed I have Vincent/Samus in my bracket. Ganondorf doesn't seem to be leeching Samus at all so I'm probably going to lose there.
I had Scorpion to win the next day but Gordon took it instead. I have got to stop thinking of him as the joke character he was in the early years of the contest.
L-Block advances again. Pikachu and Alucard will be no threat to him, it'll be the combination of Samus, Crono and Vincent after the division finals that will be the moment of truth. If he survives that the possibility of a repeat champion is depressingly likely.
Alucard and Pikachu's match provided the only real entertainment. You must see the voting trends, but be careful they don't make you seasick. I've never seen another match with such dramatic waves up and down in the voting. Ordinary boring matches should have relatively straight lines and these look like sine waves! I got the results the wrong way round but being able to see these trends is enough to make up for it.

The rain has stopped but it's bitterly cold now. The kind of cold that numbs my ears and burns my lungs. Every workday I look forward to getting back home and turning on the fire.
