Normally, I would be super-hyper critical of this type of thing...

I have often felt of Cindy McCain that she has been, shall I say, a less than positive person. The Prop 8 issue is so just plain head scratching, and it gets weirder and weirder every day.
I will say, Cindy's public contradiction with John in regards to Gay Marriage is pretty cool for both of them, assuming they have agreed to disagree with each other on the issue. Something that obviously never would have happened during the campaign, and I think understandably so on her part. Hopefully, people on both sides of the issue will respect them for allowing each other that freedom, and not try to use their difference as a cro-bar to change the other.
Without minimizing his daughter's stance, it seems more acceptable in society for a child to disagree with their parents than for spouses to disagree, somehow, society expects spouses to be in alignment on everything- although a good relationship affords both parties the freedom and respect to have differing viewpoints in areas.
