feeble attempt to get back into posting
I've had movies on the mind lately. I saw a scary movie the other day, Quarantine. I was almost mad at Ed for renting it because, man, it scared the f*ck out of me. In the movie, a reality-type reporter (Jennifer Carpenter of Dexter, fyi) follows fire fighters on a call where all the residents of an apartment building are infected by a suped-up strain of rabies.
So... I recommended it to my cousin (a firefighter). She watched it at work with the other fire fighters and it scared the pants off of them as well (bunch of sissies). Later that evening, they received a call with a woman foaming at the mouth. I swear I didn't have any hand in setting that up, it was pure coincidence. My cousin claimed that she was so creeped out that she actually cried out when she opened the door and there was a little girl standing there. You know how terrifying those little girls can be.
Also, I watched Twilight with Ed and we didn't hate it, but he was really annoyed by the baseball scene. Also, with fond childhood memories of Escape to Witch Mountain dancing in my head, I took Anna to see Race to Witch Mountain and I have no idea whether it was any good or not since she got scared and I had to walk her down to Hotel for Dogs. Ah, the sacrifices we parents make. Ed claimed it was a good movie, but I lost faith in his movie-critiquing abilities after I was forced to watch Zombie Strippers. Also saw Taken, Push and Gran Torino, but nobody will go see Slumdog Millionaire with me.
