Stargate SG-1 9x04 - The Ties That Bind
Right, so there was this plot, see. Vala left, only Daniel missed her so terribly he passed out. Daniel being the resident woobie, they fetched back Vala to sex him better. Only, the new doctor sillily (is that a word?) enough thought Daniel passed out from lingering effects of the bracelets and so the merry-go-around starts.
Turns out Vala broke Vizzini's heart and in order to get back into his good graces so that he'd figure out how to get rid of the "effects" (sure, Daniel), he needs a neckless Vala stole borrowed from him. And in order to get that, they need a power cell. And in order to get that, they need a cargo ship. And in order to get that...yeah, somehow they got that back, and in the end, Vizzini was clueless.
Now, the important parts.
Leather.
Lots.
And lots.
Of leather.
Leather's all around.
All you need is leather.
And some snark.
And outrageousness.
And weary!Daniel.
And MadEyes!Daniel.
Leatherrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Plot? What plot?
Oh, alright.
Vala. As always, I loved her. I adored her being snarky and sexy and outrageous. And I *loved* the scene in Daniel's quarters, because you were totally going "is she telling the truth, or just playing him?". Coz you just don't know with Vala. I mean, I think she genuinely likes Daniel, but she'd sell her own mother to the highest bidder, so...
I do think she was telling the truth, though. Because she had Daniel, he was totally going for it, and if she'd wanted to, she could have reigned him in. But:
Daniel: Are you messing with me?
Vala: Is it working?
And I think that if it hadn't been true, she would have run with it, she wouldn't have messed it up and made him kick her out.
Yeah, okay, moving on.
Daniel. You know I love Daniel. I've loved him for eight years. But he's *so* much more fun with Vala around. He's much more animated and alive. Not always completely happy, but alive (and no, actually not a crack at the whole "dead but not dead" thing).
Cameron. Well. He might have said stuff, I can't be sure. I was very distracted by the leather. And the shirt. The tight, black shirt. Also; Cam Mitchell, bounty hunter. *dies* And what was up with him buttoning up when he and Dr Lam excited the elevator? What had those two been up to?
Jack ref! Yes, I'm cheap, I'll take anything.
Landry; still liking him.
Teal'c. Too little of him! He totally loves Cam, though. No, he does, it's canon! True love! He said 'as you wish'. Don't try to trick me, I know the truth now.
Hmm, other than that, I don't think I had any other thoughts. Just...leatherrrrrrrrr.
