Today I finally had my first taste of Japanes food.
I wanted to try sushi and company since forever but never had the opportunity, and today I made it!
I admit one of my main concerns about it has always been whether I would have liked it. I mean, I like Japan, I like how Japanes food looks like, but what if after all the hype I end up not liking it?
BUT! It ended up to be a really good experience. I ordered a miso ramen (there were soy and curry too, but not knowing the tastes I followed my friend's suggestion) and then we ordered a box of sushi to eat together. They were both really good! <3
Okay, to eat ramen was incredibly awkward at first, because it's been ages since the last time I used chopsticks and moreover it felt... a little embarassing to eat that way, but in the end I got used to it and it was really good.
The sushi was incredibly cute (I really love its shape and color *_*) and generally a lot easier to eat. It had a really strange taste to say the truth, kind of sweet and something else, and I even used soy sauce on it that tasted strange yet unexpectedly good. I ate a hosomaki, a uramaki and a nigiri with salmon (there was one with shrimp too that looked totally delicious but I was already full u_u").
I'd love to try it again sometime :D Meanwhile, next time I want to try out a onigiri! <3
