If we're being honest... I am really really bad at thinking ahead. I'm a very in-the-moment person. Even if I know something is going to happen in a few hours it might as well be centuries away because I can't fathom it's existence until it happens. I'll be 32 in ten years, going on 33. That future just doesn't exist in my head.
That being said, the hope is that within the next two years, I'll be a teacher finally. One year of credentials, one year to find a job and get settled. Hopefully that first job will stick and I will be able to keep teaching forever. Or at least into the forseeable ten-year-future.
Obviously I don't want to be living with my parents anymore in ten years. I think Ziggy's current "plan" is after his mom and brother move away, we are going to keep his house. I don't know if that plan is going to happen, or if we'll stay in that house forever, but it's a plan. It's a nice home, though it needs some serious TLC. Which is fine with me, I don't mind getting my hands dirty. So hopefully in the next ten years, I'll be in a new home.
Getting married... ugh... We all know my stand on that but my usual response when someone asks me when I'm getting married is "ask me again in five years"... and ten years falls outside that. I assume nothing, but it wouldn't be outlandish to state that we might be married in ten years. I wouldn't object to that. Who knows, we might even have a kid by then if I get over my baby-phobia.
Of course the one thing that I hope is that in 10 years... we'll all still be friends :)
