(no subject)
Well. It has been a while. Yesterday was my birthday, and... huh. Mid-forties. Can't really deny that now.
I had a pretty good day, considering a few days ago I was utterly meh about the idea of another birthday. (Most of my spare energy going into a kitchen reno is a factor there, I think.)
My 6 year old daughter made breakfast for me, which made me smile and set the tone for the day. I also opened my sketch from haikujaguar - I'd saved it for a few days just to have another special thing. The sketch made me grin lots - a drow in a pretty purple sunhat contemplating a bottle of SPF 20,000 sunscreen...
Despite my daughter wondering why I didn't take the day off, I went in to work today. I ended up 'in the zone', and got lots of good coding done, so that made me happy, too.
Then dinner with family, and all that fun. Best present was a new battery for my drill, the old ones are mostly dead. Next-best was a new Wii game - I've never played any of the Zelda games, should be interesting...
