I think... I've pulled together all the items for my Rize/Tokyo Ghoul cosplay in time for Ohayocon. WTF? I basically decided to do this a week ago, and I've got it done (and I'm NOT doing the anime version, where you can buy the the outfit - nothing wrong w/ that, but I figured if I'm going to do the cosplay, might as well not show up in the same outfit as everyone else). I went with the outfit (or am TRYING) that she's wearing in her first appearance in the manga - taking a few liberties, as I haven't seen any images in color of that outfit, so it'll be blue and grey (that's the top I found that best fit so far) with some pink accents. I've the contacts and wig (contacts might be a BIT light, but they're prescription and won't fuck up my eyes) and wig is what I could come up with on short notice, so I might see what I can find that's a little lighter for the next con. Shame is, my hair right now is PERFECT, but for some reason the NB is pitching a FIT over the thought of me dying it purple (A is so behind me on this...). But then I wouldn't be able to cosplay Hange... decisions, decisions....
So basically have everything I need. Just need to do some stitch wizardry in the next week or two (don't have a sewing machine and everyone I know has theirs broken). If this works, then I have TWO cosplays. Wow.
And ALMOST done w/ the next Shadows chapter. Just another scene or two... so by next weekend??
