Take a look at the lawman, beating up the wrong guy

I'm making progress. I only sniffed a couple of times. And there were not too many tears. Um. Both of my parents really liked the ending, too.

Another thing to love about the Life on Mars finale: The wonky camera angles, yay. Yes, I'm one of those souless people that liked the finale. So sue me.

I wonder if Sam's decision to stay was made more in result of the circumstances in which he left. Half of the team shot, and his promise to keep Annie safe broken. If he'd just... dunno, woken up in 2006 after going to bed in a random night in 1973, would he have missed it so much?

But then again, EVERYTHING about 1973 is his fantasy, so, did he subconsciously created this scenario so he would force himself to come back? I don't know. I still have a hard time seeing him in 2006, all alone and miserable, though.

Also, sod Ashes to Ashes canon. Sam is alive and has three children with Annie and they both fight crime in Manchester and if they ever quit the force, then they'd like, open a detective agency together and their children would be IMPECCABLY CLEAN and so cute and they'd drive Uncle Gene to insanity. YES. DO NOT TRY AND TELL ME SO.
